The Governor of Sofala Province, Lourenço Ferreira Bulha, leads the opening ceremony of the national consultation in Sofala Province, as part of the process of developing the Strategic Plan for the Culture Sector for the period 2027–2036. The initiative aims to encourage the participation of various cultural sector stakeholders in gathering contributions and proposals that will guide the setting of priorities and strategies for the country’s cultural development in the coming decade. The consultation process is a chance to reflect on the challenges, opportunities, and growth prospects of the sector, with a focus on valuing cultural heritage, promoting the arts, and strengthening public cultural policies.
