A Memorandum of Understanding was signed in Maputo on September 29 between the National Institute of Cultural and Creative Industries (INICC, IP) and KLD, Lda. (King Levi Dapper). The memorandum sets out the main lines of cooperation between INICC, IP and KLD, Lda., aiming at the development of the fashion industry in Mozambique and speeding up its contribution to creating safe and sustainable jobs. The partnership also covers other areas of common interest that help add value as well as pursue the missions of both entities. According to Roberto Dove, Director-General of INICC, this is a cooperation that will help accelerate the development of the fashion sector as a tool for generating income and creating jobs. He also highlighted the importance of the partnership in creating opportunities for participation in the fashion industry nationwide for artists and creatives linked to the sector. In turn, King Levi, General Director of KLD, Ltd., thanked the initiative of the Ministry of Education and Culture, through INICC, IP, for recognizing the work that the company has been doing in the country for over a decade. According to King Levi, this work has been carried out with passion and has helped showcase the value and creative potential of Mozambicans, both in the country and abroad.
